New Life

I awaken with the sunrise as I always do and get out of my large super comfy bed. I walk to the kitchen at the other end of the house to make myself breakfast and check the weather on the little computer nicely hidden in the corner. Weather network says it will be VERY nice for the next few days. Perfect for the weekend’s event I have planned. Then check my email to see if there are any more confirmations for this weekend. Prefect, CHOM’s Terry and Ted will be attending as well as other prominent celebrities. Ok Time for a shower Kiss the wife and kids and off we go. Lots to do before the races.

Into the garage today, it is nice out and I have been waiting for a nice day in order to take it out for a drive again. After all it has been about 3 weeks since I was able too. No matter how many times I look at it I get Goosebumps. So I take off the cover and get in. THERE IS NOTHING like that new car smell. Put the key in, push in the clutch, Turn the key to the first position, everything lights up and the gauges jump and settle into place. Push the button to open the garage door, and then Start it up. The 500 Horses roar to life. You would think it had a soul as it always gets my heart going. Ease out of the garage and down the driveway to our private street that takes us to the main road. Our street is long, straight and shadowed by tall trees and is so by design. Perfect setting for this car to open up and do what it was designed to do. I accelerate hard and sink into the seat. What takes about 10 minutes at 50kph only takes about four minutes to get me to the main road. Of course I could have done it faster.

Once on the main road I turn towards Montreal and head for the Shop to get things ready for the charity race.
