I posted about this before but this is a revision.
I am neither a scientists nor a psychologist but I have always wondered about the human intellect? My thoughts are mostly about what people do in relation to what they are thinking.
Of course what we ourselves do is never crazy. What we do for ourselves is completely sane, isn't it? WELL........in my honest opinion it is completely sane for one to do what they need to do and at the same time when viewed from an other perspective it is TOTALY nuts. So the question is. How do you know who is really nuts and who is sane.
"Insane" by psychological definition is to do the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Know any one like that? Guess we are all guilty of that at one point or another. But does that really make us insane? For me, it always comes back to the same question. I am insane to ask myself this question repeatedly?
A bird trapped in a building will continuously try to fly through a closed window until it dies trying to get out. Does that make it insane or desperate or is that the same thing? Does this mean that Desperation will make us do insane things?
What if the psychologists are the ones that are crazy, telling us what we are supposed to feel and what normal is. What really is normal? Is normal someone who is sedate and has no reaction to their surroundings or the extremist that overreacts for every little situation.
From what I can tell there is no normal. Normal is relative you who you are, what you have been through and how well you can cope with your current situations. For some that means destruction of ones self or others. For others it means complete retreat from everyday life. But again, which one is normal? My answer, we are all normal taking into consideration where and what we have been through. Unfortunately for the extremists this is not socially acceptable since they may hurt others with their version of normal.
Psychologists basically want you to conform to their version of normal but who says they are normal themselves? Is it that little piece of paper called a diploma? Who wrote that paper and are they normal too? The question never ends so I will end it here.
Thank you

Fuel Economy and your Driving!
It truly troubles me when I see a full size truck doing 150kmph(90mph). Only 2 things can come of this, one is you may have a nasty accident and the other is you will burn a LOT of fuel.
As far as fuel economy goes 4 cylinder Japanese car is usually the way to go. Don't go cheap on your 4 banger or you will regret it. The Rice burners are leaders in fuel economy and as such should be exploited.
Ask yourself if the car you are driving is what you need. Do you really need a large vehicle, could you make due with something smaller and more economic?
Here is a list of things to do in order to save fuel regardless of what you drive and in the process become a better driver.
1- Make sure you car is in order and clean. That means Air filter, fuel filter, oil changes, Tire pressure, Spark plugs and wires. There is more but these are the main ones.
2- Do not drive so fast. This means take off slower, and obey the speed limit. Most manual cars have a shift light to indicate when is the best time to shift, USE IT and keep the RPM’s as low as possible. I can easily shift below 3000 RPM and still have a decent take off speed. Remember, you’re not in a race.
3- Don't use your brakes so much. Often I notice people braking when they do not have to. Many times just letting go of the accelerator is enough, especially on the highway.
4- Coast whenever you can. If your driving and see a traffic light is red at a distance in front of you ease off the accelerator and coast to the traffic light. Often it will turn green before you get there and you won't even need to stop. This also has a bonus effect on the life of your brake pads.
5- If you can, take the back roads. I have noticed something in June of 2007 when I visited my brother. I took the highway there and drove at about 120kmph/75mph. On the way home I took the back roads or routes for which I could not really go more than 100kmph/62mph most of the time. Well I literally saw about 150km/90miles more on my trip meter on one tank full. The other option is not to go over the posted speed limit on the highway ( I know it’s hard).
6- Upgrading certain parts of you car to get better fuel burn can also improve efficiency and performance. A performance ignition system may do this for you. Any of those off the shelf toys that say they increase efficiency usually don't (watch myth busters).
7- Tires, those uber performance tires that are wider than you aunt Edna's ass will definitely cost you more in fuel. They do provide more traction but also more drag. The thinner the tire is the less drag it has. Go with the tire size that the manufacturer put on the car in the first place. It was designed to use them anyway.
8- Don’t do anything to change your cars aerodynamic shape. Almost anything you add to the car's exterior will increase the drag and weight therefore your fuel consumption will increase.
9- The estimated fuel economy on the window sticker of your new car gives you certain details as to how economical the car is supposed to be. What they don't tell you is that these ratings are based on a car doing 90kmph/55mph on the highway and 40kmph/25mph in the city (don't quote me on this one but I have read this on a few forums and sites). As for Hybrids, some savvy drivers can get just as good or even better economy than most hybrid cars, which is not to say Hybrids are bad.
10-DO NOT LEAVE YOU CAR IDLING! You car uses more gas when idling then you think so unless you have kids in the car during really cold weather then DON"T IDLE.
11-WALK! If you're just going to the store a few blocks away and you're in no hurry then why not walk there or even take a little bike ride? Besides, it’s good for you.
12-Take the bus or train (electric if possible). Commuter trains are a great way to get from the suburbs to the city and most of them will take you right downtown. This is great if your going shopping with family or friends and you don't have to worry about feeding the Parking meter every 2 hours.
That's it! Common sense mostly.

Global Consciousness vs. "The Force"
Well for starters I am an atheist. God and religion mean absolutely nothing to me. However, I am still struggling with spirituality. This is where my topic comes into play, sorta.
Let me explain a few things before I get into it. I will make the connection don't worry.
First off I am a big fan of Star Wars and the famous "May the Force be with you" phrase. Not a convention going fan but more about the mystery surrounding the "Force". I know what you're saying, not another star wars freak pushing the Force, but I have a connection with reality you will see.
I have recently seen a show on Discovery talking about "Global Consciousness" or what they think may be such. This is basically (a global network of random event generators) some little sensors around the world that sort of detect conscious activity if my understanding is correct. See here for more info http://noosphere.princeton.edu/ and if you want to understand the process.
Quote from http://noosphere.princeton.edu/ :"We have learned that when millions of us share intentions and emotions the GCP/EGG network shows correlations. We can interpret this as evidence for participation in a growing global consciousness. It suggests we have the capability and responsibility for conscious evolution."
Now here goes the correlation between the 2.
The Force is all around us hence so would be a global consciousness.
When something happened in the Star wars universe like many people dying, those who were tuned into the force felt it. In the global consciousness their tests show that when 911 happened the sensors spiked around the world thus telling us something occurs when everyone thinks of the same thing.
The force can help heal or change things and I believe global consciousness can as well.
A Jedi could influence his surroundings and global consciousness can as well. If someone is sick or dying and a truly large number of people are praying for them and therefore thinking about this sick person it may send them the energy to heal them either completely or partially. I don't think we as a race are evolved enough to Heal per say but what if we could help the process along just by thinking about it in great numbers.
A few years ago my daughter had a brain tumor and there were thousands of people (as far as I know) praying for her. She had a few surgeries and treatments and as of today is healthy but I can't help thinking that if no one had thought about her every time they were praying, would the outcome have been the same.
Dark Side vs. the good guys
Obviously the dark side is very bad and don't think I need to explain Darth Vader or the Emperor. Ok so if we as a race were to focus on lets say the negative impacts of global warming or War for that matter and that global consciousness is in fact a reality don't you think it could make things worst. This is also a big part of personal success as in if you focus on the negative you will get more negative. Here is an example. People like to see misery, right? Don't believe me? How many people watch the news every day? The news if filled with crap like traffic, death, war, murder, scams, riots, politics and so on. Why do they put this on the news, because people want it! So more people watching negative crap on TV means the news people will only put more Negative crap on the next day and so on. If you say it has to do with ratings you are partially right but don't forget the power of global consciousness. If everyone is only dishing out negative vibes then they are sort of ordering more negative vibe from the universe. So just like in the Star Wars universe the dark side is easy to succumb to and attractive to all. What do you think would happen if we focused on the Positive stuff? Watching the news only when they showed us the good in the world.
May the global consciousness be with you.

I did learn from the secret
Yesterday a friend of mine came over and we talked about many things. One of which was Ideas and money after he asked about my vision board. I told him the vision board is to allow me to see my goals everyday and when I do I am supposed to visualize what it is like to already have those things. He says he has visions all the time, he is only the idea person, the visionary and not the go-getter so to speak. In my head I say "that is not what the vision board is for, you missed the point" and left it at that.
Then out of the blue he says, “it rains money all the time but never on me!”. My reaction was "that is because you’re always under your umbrella". Metaphorically that means he is always hiding in his comfort zone, unwilling to step into the rain to take some chances.
If you don’t take chances (calculated chances) then you will not get anything.
Anthony Robbins says, “If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten.” Now doesn’t that make a lot of sense? Think about it, if you stay in your comfort zone and keep on doing everything the same way all the time then how are you going to get more out of life?
So yes I think I really did learn from watching "The Secret". Thank you.

Affiliate/Refferals BULLSHIT
I am continuously looking for an Internet business and Affiliate/Referral systems seem to be the norm at this time. This is basically sending people to other sites with your referral ID and getting a cut on any sales that may occur. This used to be a Pay Par Click system in the past, which was easy to cheat because all you had to do was have people click on the link.
All of these programs can work if you put the time and effort in to it. That is, advertising and getting people to buy things via your referral ID. Most companies hire a third party to recruit members that will do the advertising for all their affiliate programs and they make a small cut on all sales as well the members who sign up with them. Most of these have no charges for becoming a member since it is to their advantage that they get more followers. Others can charge quite a bit of $$ to start you up and make the same promises of success as any of the free ones. This is where I have an issue.
Yesterday I requested some information about an online moneymaking Monster (so they say). Today I received a call from them and got the low down after all the hype and I was not holding back on the questions for a change. Here is how it went down.
Ring ring ring
Them: Hello, bla bla bla bla you requested information from us regarding bla bla bla bla.
Would you be willing to spend 1 hour or more working at home to make more money?
Me: DUH!!!
Them: ok I will let you listen to a prerecorded message and I will be back afterwards.
Recording goes on for about 9 min with all kinds of hype and high energy
Chit chat. Not to mention that it was WAY TO LOUD. I had the phone about 8 inches away from my ear and the poor speaker was distorting. Any way the recording says things like with a small setup fee we can setup your website and the yearly hosting cost of $19 was included and bla bla bla bla. Basically they say “We setup your site, get you going within 2 days and we help you bring in the customers.” After she comes back on.
Them: Well what did you think?
Me: Sounds like a lot of hype!!
A little pause from them
Them: well let me explain what you will get from us.
Me: How much?
Them: Bla bla bla bla bla
Me: HOW MUCH?
Them: we can start you up for 149$. Does that sound reasonable to you?
Me: All right, go on.
Them: So have you heard of Affiliate systems. They are bla bla bla bla (I explained this
before) and we deal with the likes of eBay, Amazon and so on. We set you up and start you on your way to making big money. You send us customers but we help you do it. This system really works bla bla bla bla bla.
Me: So why do I have to buy in if it so much money can be made? Can’t you set me up
for free like many other affiliate programs do?
Them: well we have a team of 50 people here to get you started and help you along. All
you have to do is advertise your affiliate website.
Me: But you are not answering my question!! Why should I pay if it will automatically
start giving me a return?
Them: Because we set you up with 3 websites and all these people will be working to
Help you succeed…(I interrupt)
Me: I am sure the websites are just clones. A simple copy and paste will make them and I
have affiliate programs that I do make $$ with but are completely free.
Them: this is not an affiliate Program; it is a referrals program that bla bla bla bla bla. (Didn’t she say before that is was an affiliate program) Let
Me finish my presentation and I will answer you questions after.
Me: No, please listen to my question. Why do you need me if your program is so great?
Why can’t you just go out and do all of this yourself and keep all the money if it is so easy? WHY DO YOU NEED ME?
Them: Well I guess we don’t! Thank you, Good-bye.
So what I gathered from this is there is a high probability it is crap but they make $$ on people who try and do not follow through or simply realize it is a scam and move on. I have done a lot of advertising on the Internet and it is not that easy to get people to view you site in particular. In fact it is down right a pain in the ass. Unless someone can prove me otherwise it can cost you a lot of Money to get good rankings in the search engines and even then. SOMEONE PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG AND SHOW ME THE WAY.

Insulting, hypocrite and just plain bad karma!
Quote "I always felt that my brother was the foundation in our family, and I deem him worthy as a role model for kids like myself growing up. Shit happens, and if you listen and learn, you walk out clean."
This is a message that a "family" member has posted on his Facebook page. Now I am not sure what this person were thinking when they wrote this but COME ON MAN. GET A FUCKING CLUE. You can't badmouth someone and in the next sentence tell everyone that person is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Foundation? You always said this person was never there for you yet you claim he was the foundation of your family? Then why do you not ask this person when you need help moving (on your sisters B-Day to boot) and other issues for that matter? Why does this person persist on hating someone (family member) and not let that person even know why so they can at least defend themselves. Yes shit happens and if you put enough deodorant on you will come out "Smelling" clean on the surface. Now I won’t even pretend to know what’s going on with him or his brother but As far as I can tell there is only one person even trying to change for the better and that is their sister.
Seeing this can only make me wonder what other lies and hypocrisy has been dealt to unsuspecting family or other mutual acquaintances. I have heard some of it already and can’t help wondering WHY? Is there a motive? Is this person seeking something? WHY? WHY? WHY Mr. Anderson?
Here is another thing while I am at it. Do you think it’s fair that an uncle is able to see his niece but the auntie never sees her nieces? I wonder what goes on in this uncle’s head when his ex brother in law comes over to his place his niece is there. I mean it is his ex brother in law’s daughter but more importantly his sister’s daughter and in his shoes I would feel a little uncomfortable with it. Now because of the way things are, uncle does not have to talk to his sister to see his niece but NEVER EVER calls his sister to see how she or the rest of the family is doing and is missing out on his currently only nephew who does not even know who his uncle is.
If anything I have a very forgiving nature and in a day or so will have already forgotten all about this.
I could probably write all night but will end it with this
If you do end up reading this just remember one thing. The people around you don’t only talk to you. They talk to others as well, sometimes about you and the things you may have said or done towards others. Eventually leading to the truth and therefore also leading to the lies and deceit so it’s up to you what path you take but in the end they all lead to who you are inside. So the question is, do you want to smell clean or come clean? WHO DO YOU WANT TO BE?

New Life
I awaken with the sunrise as I always do and get out of my large super comfy bed. I walk to the kitchen at the other end of the house to make myself breakfast and check the weather on the little computer nicely hidden in the corner. Weather network says it will be VERY nice for the next few days. Perfect for the weekend’s event I have planned. Then check my email to see if there are any more confirmations for this weekend. Prefect, CHOM’s Terry and Ted will be attending as well as other prominent celebrities. Ok Time for a shower Kiss the wife and kids and off we go. Lots to do before the races.
Into the garage today, it is nice out and I have been waiting for a nice day in order to take it out for a drive again. After all it has been about 3 weeks since I was able too. No matter how many times I look at it I get Goosebumps. So I take off the cover and get in. THERE IS NOTHING like that new car smell. Put the key in, push in the clutch, Turn the key to the first position, everything lights up and the gauges jump and settle into place. Push the button to open the garage door, and then Start it up. The 500 Horses roar to life. You would think it had a soul as it always gets my heart going. Ease out of the garage and down the driveway to our private street that takes us to the main road. Our street is long, straight and shadowed by tall trees and is so by design. Perfect setting for this car to open up and do what it was designed to do. I accelerate hard and sink into the seat. What takes about 10 minutes at 50kph only takes about four minutes to get me to the main road. Of course I could have done it faster.

A true work of functional art!
Once on the main road I turn towards Montreal and head for the Shop to get things ready for the charity race.

Added more images
In keeping with my wanting to make more money I added more pictures to my T-Shirt site. These however were not created by me. These were created by my Daughter. They are very cute and deserve to be shown off. I have named them as follows (click the links to see them): Butterfly, Big sister, Kids ART, Little Brother and Jelly Fish and net. Who knows, depending on what she does with her life these may actually become valuable.
Next I will try to locate my sons ARTWORK and do the same with his. I remember one that was very abstract and may be a lot of fun on a mousepad or t-shirt.
Oh yeah, and by the way. I sold an other Cheeky face t-Shirt today. I and my Cheeky face are MONEY MAGNETS.

Cheeky face 3D Animations
In my last post I spoke about my "Cheeky Face" creation and how I want it to evolve. My last thoughts on this are to actually create a 3D animation. But the real question is what would Cheeky do? I was thinking he could fight with the other Happy Faces in the media like the one from Wal Mart as well as other commercial figures like the Pillsbury doughboy or the talking Gecko.
The issue with this is that I would have to learn a new 3D creation application because the one I know is too limited as to what It can do and would make for a crude animation at best.
Must think about it some more…………….

Creating some Passive income

A year ago last month I signed up and opened my own online t-shirt shop and only recently have I made any money off of it. Now it’s not a lot of money but it got me thinking about what I could do to improve the sales. I Figure the sales came from one of my creations called “Cheeky Face” . This is to date my favorite happy face creation. I also placed this happy face in different contexts to expand or increase its appeal to more people and I believe this to be the reason of these sales. Now what else can I do to unlock the potential behind the “Cheeky Face” and myself for that matter? So far I have placed links on other web sites, reactivated my adwords account so the links show up in Google searches and placed free ads on kijiji.ca as well as on local free classifieds.
Here is a little explanation for you. I call it a t-shirt shop because people understand the premise of it without much explaining and I hate explaining the same thing over and over again. In this shop you can upload images that you created and place them on T-Shirts, Mugs, Mouse pads, Calendars, Clocks and much more merchandise. Then once your images are set up on the products you have chosen you set your profit margin or rates. I usually go for 20% but you must be careful as the host site (cafepress.com) will take an additional 5% if the profit margin goes over $15.
Now there are two ways to make $$ on this site. Well actually 3 ways. One is to simply sell your products. The second is to refer others to open up a shop using your user ID and in doing so you get commissions off of any sales they make. The third is from affiliate sales. This is when people initially come from your shop and buys from another shop.
If all this sounds easy that is because it really is and if you want to give it a try I can guide you through it. Simply ask. After all, If I help you make some $$ that means I make some too.
Well that's it for now

Collective lawsuit
Hello again,
In my efforts to either get support or my money back from aewebworks.com (or Boonex) I have tried to reason with them but the last thing I did was to send them a letter requesting my money back. Neither of which has resulted in a response. Sooooooooooo. To continue to try and get either support or money back I would ask any of you with the same issues to contact me in order to start a petition of sorts via email to get them to reimburse or at least continue the support we were promised. I may even use my forum setup for us to be able to communicate without being censored. This will of course depend on the interest shown.
Thank you

Excuses!
Why is it that when you tell someone about something you want to do or try they always have something negative to say? I am looking into opening an ADULT chat web site where people (not just men) pay for a one on one chat with a woman or man that they choose off of the web site. Someone has told my wife that men don’t pay for porn……….Bullshit. Now I don't know about you but from what I can tell, Porn is Big business everywhere. Especially when it is personalized or tailored to the payee’s needs or wants. All I can say to those people is, YOU DO THE MATH!!

More Driving!!
Hiya,
Well to continue from yesterdays post about driving we will now talk about stop signs. While people are driving around they seem to be forgetting one thing. STOPPING!!! No one seems to actually stop at stop signs anymore and many barely even slow down at all. I myself don't completely stop but I do at least come close to stopping most of the time. I live right at an intersection where ther are 3 stops. It's a "T" intersection and my place is right on top of the "T" so to speak. So I can literally sit on my balcony for 1 hour and count on one hand the cars that actually do a proper stop.
Definition of how a stop is supposed to be executed
(in my opinion of course).
Come to a complete stop for 3 seconds; look to see if someone was at the intersection before you and if there are any pedestrians trying to get across. If there is someone (person or car) there before you, you must let him or her proceed ahead of you. This seems like common sense to me. But we all know this is not the way it goes down. Especially at a four way stop with multiple lanes on both streets. At these intersection if you do not force your way out often you will not even get to pass. Why is it so difficult for people to wait their FRICKEN turn at a stop Sign?
Oh and by the way. Concerning yesterdays post about tailgaters and such. If you are tailgating behind me and I am alone in the car you should expect me to hit the brakes very hard. Reasons: 1) I don't really care that much for my car. 2) I need a new tailgate because ford didn't think people would try to close it by pushing down in different places so the tailgate is now dented from just closing the darn thing. 3) I really HATE tailgaters. So if you see a Silver Ford Focus Wagon with http://one-2-love.net on the back window I suggest you keep your distance and also keep in mind that there may be other people that think the same way I do.
And I almost forgot about this one. Turing left at a red light. You supposed to turn only if the coast is clear, not when you see a car coming down the road a 60kph and is almost at the corner. I guess this qualifies as being cut off. When it happens that someone does that to me I do it on purpose to get REAL close to him or her (when I am alone in the car of course). Because remember, I don’t really care much for my car and if I can get a Japanese car instead of my dumb ass American car then I may just hit you (accidentally on purpose of course).
Next post! American car vs. Japanese car, which one do you think is better? Oh this one should be fun. Later

Driving and Drivers
hello again(not that anyone cares)
If any of the people reading do any driving I am sure you will see yourself somewhere within these words.
First off, Driving. I love to drive. Get in the car, put on your seatbelt, start the engine (if your lucky you will hear a nice roar form under the hood), adjust the radio or put in a CD, Take off the hand brake and go. Where? Who cares really? Pick a direction and see where it takes you. Well, at least until you have to come back because you have to work the next day.
Driving can be a lot of fun, but unfortunately there are those that would take that pleasure away from you. You name it, tailgating, getting cut off, following a really slow car and so much more. But why are they like that? Are they in a hurry to get home so they can sit down for that extra minute that they saved by driving home real fast? Are they just assholes and don't care how many people they cut off on the way home? Don't get me wrong; I love to drive fast just as much or maybe even more than the other guy. However, I won't endanger others while doing it.
Lets go through some definitions of sorts
1) Cutting someone off
Cutting in front of someone in a way that forces him or her to use their brakes when they normally would not have had to.
2) Tailgating
If you cannot see the bumper of the car in back of you, you are being tailgated. Likewise, if you cannot see the rear wheels of the car in front of you, you are tailgating. Even if you are 1 full car length away from the car in front of you (especially on the highway) you are tailgating.
3) Excessive speed (not taking into account the speed limits)
Technically if you are not following the speed limit you’re going to fast. Now there are discrepancies that we will talk about later. In my opinion if you are trying to go faster than everyone else around you, you are going to fast. For instance, if everyone is driving 120kph and your doing 140kph then you are going to fast.
4) KPH - Kilometers Per Hour
Ok now that we cleared that up lets get into the discussion.
First thing that gets to me is this. You’re driving on the highway and your trying to keep your distance from the car in front of you. Everything is perfect until someone cuts in but does not necessarily cut you off. Now your distance is not good anymore so you have to back off from the new car that just cut in front of you. No Problem right, back off of the gas pedal a bit and get back your distance. So now you have your distance back and another car cuts in. Back off again right? Sure!! Yet another car in front of you. You see the picture? It's catch 22. Leave too much room and it will be taken. Don't leave enough and you are tailgating. What to do?? There is nothing to do really. There are to many cars on the road for these techniques to work properly so just do like everybody else does, try to leave just enough room so your not tailgating and not enough room for someone to cut in. But now this causes other issues. Most people will not cut into a space that they perceive as to small but some will cut in anyway because they just have to get into your lane to get home 1 minute earlier. Because of this you now have to use your brakes to keep from hitting them. In other words you get cut off.
Now speed
I don't have a problem with people driving fast. I have a problem with people driving fast and crazy. Weaving in and out of lanes to get ahead, cutting people off and always ending up someone elses rear (Tailgating).
Also there is another factor to all of this. Cars are designed to be most economical at around 90kph. So when you are driving at 100kph you are not really getting the fuel economy that the manufacturer states much less when you are driving at 120kph. So the faster you go the more it will cost you. Now driving fast has other type of wear and tear to your car as well. Brakes will wear out faster because your more often need to use them since you are going faster you are always up someone’s ass and it takes more brake power to stop from a higher speed. Speed also increases the power a hole in the road may have on the structure of your car. Your engine also turns faster therefore wears out faster. Your tires, bearings, transmission and so on and so on...... Get it?
Well that was talk about mostly highway driving. Next post will be more about city driving.

Business Roadblock
Well a few months ago i started a new business and posted about it a few posts ago. Now before and as I was purchasing the script/program to run my site I had the BEST support ever and thought maybe these guys are going to give me the same support afterwards. I know it’s the Internet and Bells should have gone off when I saw there was no Phone number to call. Only Live chat or email or support forums with techs for presales and support afterwards.
I guess your wondering what went wrong? Well here goes. Now it’s not that big of an issue since the site IS up and RUNNING well but I have a problem with sending emails and not getting replies, chatting with techs or support personnel that have no clue what you want or have any authority do it if they knew what you wanted and buying a fully licensed product only to find out that they just sold it to an other company while they were toying around with you trying to make sure you purchased it. ARGGGGGGGG.
Ok here is more detail:
Free Upgrades:
I am supposed to get free support and updates for life right? How can they give me free updates if they just sold the darn thing and are not working on it anymore themselves? Now they are saying that there is an update but in doing so I have to downgrade to a FREE version of the script and have the new companies logos on my site. I JUST FRICKEN PAID FOR IT DAMMIT. I don’t want your darn logos on my site but I want the upgrade because it is better (or so they say). Now I can get a version of it without their company banners but I have to dish out some more Money to get it. How is that a free upgrade to my $690 US license? Don’t understand? Leave a comment please.
Support issues:
Nothing like sending out an email, getting the return receipt saying it was read but never getting a reply. Or posting something in the support forms and getting answer 2 months later. How is that SUPPORT? I used to sell Computers and even managed a store for a while and if I gave that kind of support to my customers they would never come back. Let me give you an example of GREAT support.
I had been working the Macintosh store for about 2 or 3 months (I think) when this couple comes in looking for a new Mouse for their old Performa. They were an older couple, probably in their 50’s or around that. So the gentleman hands me the mouse he wants to replace and says it does not move at all anymore. Right away I open up the mouse ball compartment and struggle to take out the ball (dirtiest mouse I ever saw but they did not know any better). So I proceed to take the crap off the movement wheels inside the ball compartment. This take me about 2 minutes and then I connect to an old (new then) Blue and White G3. Turn it on and the mouse works Flawlessly. They were so impressed that they stayed with me for about an hour (only possible in a none commission based store) looking around the store and asking questions about the new Graphite iMac’s. And then they left. My boss was like, what the hell was that? You fixed their mouse, talked to them for an hour and they left without buying anything? I was still new at sales but I knew I had done a good deed and a new mouse would have cost them about 25$. Big deal!! And I treated all my customers the same. Gave them what they needed, not what I thought they wanted like some of the other sales reps. Well not a month later the same couple comes back and asks for me specifically and would not have it any other way. They waited about 45 minutes for me to finish up with my other customer and refused many attempts by other reps to offer them service. Once they got to me they said this, “We want the iMac and accessories that you showed us the last time we were here. Since you fixed the mouse on our old computer we found that it is to slow for us to do any of the newer things that we saw on the iMac. BINGO! TAKE THAT RICK(boss)! But again I said wait one week before buying it. And they said, “WHY? We are ready to buy one now.”. Well if you wait one week the new models will come out at the same price or you can buy the old model at a lower price. It’s really up to you. So they waited and purchased the newer model but only with a printer and speakers. They said they would come back later for a scanner. A little while later I was to become manger at an other location of the same name. And they were very happy for me and said I deserved it. Once I move to the new location many of my customers followed but that couple still went to the store I was at before. The only thing is that they’d have a sales rep call me so they can talk to me. They would tell me what that rep told them and if it was true and so on. I told them that I trained that Sales rep myself and to trust him 100% but if they still needed to call me for anything that I would gladly help.
So treat customers like people, not like customers. Save them some money and they will have more to give you later.
Y’all bored yet?
All this is to say that I am very disappointed with the following companies.
http://aewebworks.com ..........for the good script but crappy service
http://boonex.com ...........for not offering existing customers a licensed upgrade
If you can, find someone else to do business with if you are in the market for the type of products they sell.
Macphreak out (Mac Freak out, ha that was funny)

Fuzzy logic and more
Ever wonder about the human intellect? How some people think and do things that are just crazy. Of course what we do is never crazy. What we do for ourselves is completely sane, isn't it? WELL........in my honest opinion it is completely sane for one to do what they need to do and at the same time when viewed from an other persons perspective it is TOTALY nuts. So the question is. How do you know who is really nuts and who is sane. "Insane" by psychological definition is to do the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Know any one like that? Guess we are all guilty of that at one point or an other. But does that really make us insane? It always comes back to the same questions. A bird trying to get out of a building will continuously try to go through a closed window until it dies trying to get out. Does that make it insane or desperate or is that the same thing? Desperation will make you do insane things then? That explains the relationship of some people I know.
There are 2 questions that I ask everyone (well almost everyone). The first is "What is the meaning of purpose?". Most people answer by giving one of the definitions which are as follows. 1: an anticipated outcome that is intended or that guides your planned actions. 2: what something is used for. Both are right of course but then I follow up with this question. "What is the purpose of meaning?", To which I have yet to get an answer for nor do I even know what to reply to it myself. Don't give me no Jesus this and God that. I am so beyond these petty weak minded games that the church tries to push/scare people into thinking you will go to hell if you don't believe and so on. The church and its religion's were created to scare man into complacency and to create wealth for themselves and it is still going on today. A long time ago the church and its god fairing servants were the ones who pretty much made the laws that governed it's people and were usually the richest ones in their town or city. Speaking of which, I have to go see “the Da Vinci Code”, here is the trailer if your interested. http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/da_vinci_code/teaser/
